My Story

I grew up in a Trinidadian family. We did not practice traditional medicine. When you had a belly-ache my mother picked mint from the garden and made you a tea. When you had a fever she made a special vegetable soup, gave you an enema and sent you to bed. In the islands there is a bush cure for every ailment.

As an adult I had gotten far away from my Trini roots. I developed poor eating habits and began a spiral of ill health, frequent colds, bladder infections, lack of energy and developed large uterine fibroids.

I had been a pseudo-vegetarian for many years but my weakness was sugar. When I got stressed I reached for chocolate, depressed-ice cream, nervous-chips. It didn't take long before I was wearing extra large sweats and one size fits all clothes.

In 2001 I was scheduled for fibroid surgery. I prayed for a miracle. I got a call from a friend who had visited a holistic doctor and saw my hair products (African Wonders ) in his office. She said it was a sign from God that I was not to have the surgery and try herbs.

I made an appointment with Dr. Keith Richardson. Dr. Richardson is a Naturopathy Doctor, Iridologist, and Herbalist. I did not tell him anything about my diagnosis. He used a machine to exam my eyes and was able to tell me accurately what was going on in my body. He knew very specific details about my health that only my medical doctor knew from extensive tests!

Dr. Richardson prepared herbal treatments for me and sent me home with the liver cleanse. Within two months I was a new woman. I had lost 30 pounds. I was back in a size 6. I also looked ten years younger!

When I went to see the surgeon to have my pre-operation meeting she couldn't believe how great I looked. After examining me she said "What did you do? It is MIRACULOUS. The fibroids have shrunk and you DO NOT NEED TO HAVE THE SURGERY!!!! I floated home. I thanked God. I knew there was a reason I had met Dr. Richardson and it wasn't just about me.

In 2004 the pastor of my church, Arise Christian Center , Ron Taylor, came back from a trip to Africa with a message: "God has placed the cure for all disease here on the earth." At that moment God told me he had a divine purpose for my life. At first I didn't want to answer the call, but God kept on sending me signs. I was appointed the Director of Arise Community Health Care, the health ministry at our church. I received my certification in Sports Nutrition, Exercise Instruction and Personal Training.

I founded Divine-Health.com to educate and spread the word about holistic health choices and alternative medicine. I have also teamed up with Dr. Richardson to offer his herbal products, New Body Nutrition to those of you that may be suffering from an ailment and want to try a natural healing approach.

Now, I must add to this story. When I returned to my old eating habits the fibroids returned. I learned the hard way that staying healthy requires changing your lifestyle forever.

This year I completed my book, THE BODY-BLAST: HEAL YOUR SOUL AND YOUR BODY WILL FOLLOW."

To help the many people struggling with excess body fat, I worked with Dr. Richardson and developed 3 new products. THE MIRACLE THREE, "Tummy Tone", "Slim Down" and "Tone Up."

I also filmed an exercise DVD- "HONOR YOUR TEMPLE."
